How to be famous and not be seen in Ibiza While many of the celebrities visit Ibiza do so to get noticed, there are just as many that prefer to enjoy the island in anonymity taking a break from their demanding job as a fashion, style, music or sports icon constantly in the public gaze.

1. If you are a man grow a heavy beard, dress down in shorts and a t-shirt with flip flops and wander around the island like a tourist. Wear an all-inclusive budget hotel wristband and pay all bills in cash while moaning about the price of everything and not leaving a tip.

2. Rent a villa in the countryside, preferably in the north of the island down a dusty camino where it’s hard to find. In the darkness of the night head out with like minded nocturnal party animals who are too busy having a good time to notice who you are.

3. Hire a private yacht. It’s difficult for the paparazzi to follow or know where you are going to anchor for dinner.

4. If you are a premier football star don sunglasses, baseball cap and a lower division replica shirt that acts as a decoy which should fool the kids for a minute or two.

5. Hire a private island. This is the ultimate way not to be found in Ibiza. There are at least four private islands off the coast with access only by boat or helicopter.

6. Drive around in a clapped out island car preferably an old dusty, dented and scratched Seat Ibiza. Nobody will expect a VIP to travel around in a car like that, a trick that celebrities from the 60’s and 70’s employed to good effect.
