HOW TO BLAG THE GUEST LIST It’s nearly a right of passage in Ibiza to get your name on the guest list of a club party on the island. It signifi es a coming of age in Ibiza clubland and a recognition that you are now connected enough to have your name added to the golden free entrance party list. Here’s a few tips.

Date the promoter/DJ

The easiest way. Not just to get onto the guest list but also into the hallowed space of the DJ box. Dating the DJ is a lot more fun as the promoter has more pressure to deal with and sure you have to handle the DJ’s incessant whining, but just think of the free booze on their rider

Twitter or Instagram account

Buy 20,000 followers for €10 and advertise yourself as a well known influencer in the music and fashion industry based in the UK. Contact the clubs and request guest list to promote the party on your popular social media accounts. Fucking simples.

Check out the promoters website or Facebook page

Some will offer guest list entry if contacted in advance. You will need to add them as a friend and help promote their party to your digital friends. The more friends you have the better.

Do a little research

Find out the name of the club’s manager. Rock up to the guest list queue, show your ID and when they can’t find your name on the guest list, namedrop the manager as the person who invited you. Stay cool, look confident and the benefit of the doubt will be granted with the opening of the velvet rope.

Send guest list requests to clubs

Some may be interested in adding your name to the guest list on nights that are quiet or will allow free entry before a certain time. Worth a go eh?
