GOLDIE  The Journey Man

------------------------------------------

Drum ‘n’ bass is three decades old…and one of the artists carrying it so far is Goldie. His new double album will doubtless draw comparisons with Saturnz Return – but if it’s as good, we’ll all be rejoicing!

ELLEN ALLIEN NOST

------------------------------------------

llen Allien’s first album for BPitch Control in seven years. Deep and dark, the record draws its inspiration from the artist’s Berlin underground roots, focusing on techno but with acidic, analogue goodness. Ace.

VARIOUS ARTISTS Tactus Tempus

------------------------------------------

After his early 2017 release, Joe Goddard is going to pop up again in his guise as a critical member of Hot Chip. His basement was the focal point for a supergroup made of Caribou, Floating Points and members of Hot Chip, Junior Boys and Simian Mobile Disco who have updated Frank McCarty’s experimental 1970s score Tactus Tempus.

LONDON GRAMMAR Truth Is A Beautiful thing

------------------------------------------

Also back from a long absence are London Grammar with their second album which comes after 30 months on the road and will drop early June on Metal & Dust/Columbia Records. One listen to Hannah Reid’s voice and you’ll be hooked.

JOEY NEGRO Produced With Love

------------------------------------------

Comebacks are the order of the day – just ask Dave Lee. Joey Negro remains his trusted moniker for original disco house, and Produced With Love looks set to deliver as the second ever Joey Negro album on Z Records. His first artist album for more than 20 years, it will focus on newly recorded stuff rather than samples, with vocalists including the much-missed Diane Charlemagne.
