ALL SYSTEMS GO ! Clubs news for 2017 season

If last summer was all about one particular superclub closing, this year is all about another opening with Hï Ibiza claiming all of this season’s pre-match talk. What a season ahead for the Ushuaïa Group’s boldest statement yet with Black Coffee and Eric Prydz leading the charge with major residencies. Coming a close second in the Ibiza 2017 news stakes is the old lady Privilege who has lately been cutting a lonely figure on the San Rafael hilltop, reminiscing on glory years gone by. This year it’s all change however with Carl Cox bringing us two massive Pure parties, Sasha and Digweed reuniting for eight stunning Resistance events and Italian legends Tale Of Us moving their Afterlife smash here. Watch out too for Richy Ahmed’s Four Thirty Two parties throughout the summer in Vista. With the opening of Hï Ibiza there were always going to be some changes across the road at Ushuaïa. Tomorrowland promise a massive weekly with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s Tuesday Garden of Madness, Martin Garrix settles into daytime Thursday action as well as nighttime at Hï Ibiza, Tinie Tempah announces he’ll be live on stage every Friday with Shy FX, man of the moment Kygo returns with a Sunday residency while Wednesdays look really tasty thanks to Limited Edition – a brand new weekly festival style party with DJs on rotation including DJ Snake, Alesso, Axwell & Ingrosso and Major Lazer. Wow. Many people’s line-up of the summer happens over at Pacha every Friday when Leeds superstar Hot Since 82 welcomes in a mouthwatering line-up including Maya Jane Coles, Erick Morillo, Dubfire, Eats Everything and Goldie. Another party that has set tongues wagging is the mighty elrow, which finally decided upon Amnesia as its new home with gigantic DJ line-ups alongside a couple of cheeky one-offs at Ibiza Rocks. It has been a fascinating winter concerning WooMoon and where they will take up residency this summer. While Privilige looked the winner for a while it looks like their rightful home Cova Santa finally sorted their licensing issues and won the day. Just sort that car park out! Guy Gerber returns to Destino with his Rumors baby, but this year the guest DJs are off the scale with Sven Väth’s appearance in June an absolute must. Down at Marina Bottafoch, Heart continues to grab the headlines with its amazing food, shows and parties, with this summer’s new attractions including La Troya, Heart Beat and Bedouin’s new baby, Saga. You can catch the newly- rehomed Acid Sundays from 6pm up in San Carlos at Las Dalias, home to All Systems Gthose Nightmares on Wax bad boys. One of the biggest DJ/club splits in recent years takes yet another twist this summer when Darius Syrossian makes an emotional return to Sankeys with his Do Not Sleep party taking up a new Tuesday slot, while another newbie at this underground haven is Rebel Cave on Thursdays with the Capadi Rebels crew sure to bring a new flavour.

Over in San Antonio, Defected Records’ surprised many with their new Sunday house party at Eden – watch this dream team soar! Pikes in the meantime brings in Paul Oakenfold’s Generations party throughout August celebrating 30 years of Acid House, while Ibiza Rocks changes direction with the emphasis now on the pool party with Toddla T, elrow and the all new Cuckoo Land joining Craig David on the blow up flamingos. After last year’s phenomenal If You Know You Know Carl Cox after party, it’s great to see the Game Over crew returning to Benimussa Park for some unmissable woodland parties kicking off in July. The Zoo Project also expand with its Zoo Evolution party on various Tuesdays throughout the summer while down by the sea Blue Marlin continues its rise in the party stakes by adding two new parties to its line-ups. Check out the monthly Dennis Ferrer house masterclass and the daddy of them all Pete Tong settling down for some Sunday Sessions with a cool essential selection of superstar guests. He continues! Ibiza 2017, it’s time to fasten your seatbelts. We have lift off…
