Can Malacosta has been making ‘Marmalades of Ibiza’ since 1993. With well over 3,500 different fruit trees spread over the San Carlos farms , in the northern part of Ibiza, including peach, nectarine, fig, strawberries and onion, it produces a number of sweet and savoury varieties including traditional fruit marmalades and onion jams to accompany any meals from breakfast to meats and cheeses. The philosophy of the marmalade and jam producer is rooted in the advocacy and use of traditional manual production methods and keeping all elements 100% natural, without colourants, preservatives or flavourings. All the fruit is hand selected to bring out the true flavour of the fruits in their organic form which is evident in the changing colours of the jams and marmalades as the seasons pass and even as the location of harvesting changes.
