Imagine the benefi ts of having more energy, increased sexual drive, glowing skin, brighter eyes and sharper focus after eating nutritionally dense uncooked organic fresh foods such as fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds? You may loose some weight too, but that said, health is the goal, and weight changes are a bonus. Detoxing and introducing more organic products to your diet is the way to go. Processed, inorganic foods, stress, fumes, gases, toxic cleaning products and chemical laden cosmetics are all doing constant damage to our health. If you are busy, but feeling run down, sluggish and lack energy and focus a raw food cleanse is superb. It’s super healthy and amazingly good for the body and mind with great results. When choosing a detox you have to take into consideration how physical and mental your daily activity is. Some detoxes can make you feel amazing, some rather lethargic. Having an expert to guide and supervise you is often very helpful. For example a juice detox makes toxins move faster than one where you eat dense food, so you have to make sure that these toxins have an equally fast chance to be eliminated from your system, otherwise you run the risk of retox. Th rough my knowledge of raw food and the detoxes I do for my clients, I have seen results in people after they’ve been eating raw food for just three days! I would always recommend doing a raw food cleanse for at least four or fi ve days though. Th e longer the better! And choosing to implement this kind of food into your existing diet is so rewarding. I cannot recommend it strongly enough for a few reasons: it’s super easy to do. You don’t have to take time off work or disrupt your daily schedule, however one thing you should do is take time to eat without disturbances. Ingesting unadulterated foods in the form as mother nature has intended, without being heated, cooked, fried, boiled, steamed or grilled, is so nutritionally compact that your body and cells will love your for it. Th e reason you will not be hungry is because nutritionally your body will be fed on a cellular level; it will be satisfi ed and will not crave potato chips. I can almost promise you that! Eat lots of salads, big ones! Add nuts and seeds that you have soaked overnight, avocados and dress with cold pressed organic olive oil. Drink green juices and smoothies, try to source some raw crackers and breads from your local health food store, munch on fresh fruit and drink plenty of water with some lemon squeezed in. Green vegetables and fruit such as grapefruit deliver potent nutrients that help detoxifi cation. And best of all? You can have your raw cake and eat it! Guilt free.
