Do you have plans to work with more electronic music artists in the future?

I plan to work with all kinds of artists. It’s all music and some of that EDM goes hard.

Do you see possibilities for a hip hop emergence in ibiza among the ubiquitous electronic music scene?

They have their thing thats going already. It’s established. You never know though. Hip hop is worldwide.

You have also worked with a really eccletic mix of artists, are there any music genres you are yet to experiment with?

Yes you will have to wait and see what it is though. I’m in the lab right now!

You released a ‘Euro Techno Mix’ as DJ Snoopadelic in 2012. Tell me about your other DJ ventures?

I DJ all over the over the world. I have a residency in Vegas right now called the Snoopadelic Cabaret.

Are your kids part of the new generation of EDM fans? What music are they currently listening to?

My kids listen to all kinds of shit. They like the new stuff but I put ‘em up on the classics too. They listen to everything.

Who are some of the guests you have enjoyed interviewing the most on your Double G News network?

George Clinton is always a good one. Whatup George! We have lots of great guests though. I hope my viewers are entertained by the show and I hope they get some game out of it.

Tell me about some of the highlights from ‘Snoop’s Wellness Retreat’ the festival you launched in Seattle and Denver earlier this year?

The wellness retreat was great. My nephew Wiz came out and so did YG and a whole bunch of other people. It was the perfect time to do it since both those states legalised marijuana. I think the wellness retreat will be an annual thing now.

A photography book ‘Here I Am’ is out this summer featuring rap icons in the early nineties. There is an image of you on the set of your debut ‘What’s My Name’ video. What was it like working with Fab 5 Freddy?

It was great. Freddy was a legend already back then. He knew what he was doing. The ‘Whats My Name’ video is a classic and was a real important moment in my career.

How much creative input do you have in all your music videos?

I have a lot of input in the themes concepts and my own styling. I let the directors do what they do though.

What excites you most about your epic tour this summer?

Getting out and reaching the people!

Given your filmography can we expect any more film appearances or documentaries from you in the future?

Yes you can count on that! We’re working on the sequel to Mac and Devin right now. It’ll be out next year.

Why do you think some of your rap songs are so iconic?

I just write songs to express how I feel. People respond to it and I love ‘em for it!
